31 Movies of Halloween – We Are Still Here
So for October 6th, I watched the very hyped; WE ARE STILL HERE.
Everywhere I looked, folks where praising this film, and with good reason. It’s fantastic!
I’m not going to go too into the film because its best if you go in without knowing an awful lot. Just know this; low budget horror is the new place to go for a scare. And films like WE ARE STILL HERE are leading the charge!
Helen Fan Art!
From time to time I get great pieces of fan art for one of my videos. I have a great one from the Strip Mall Ad War I’ll be sharing later but this one really sticks out.
It’s our old pal Helen as done by Habtoons! I really love this rendition! Be sure to go like Habtoons on Facebook and check out the rest of his stuff!
31 Movies of Halloween – Insidious Chapter 3
So during the month of October I try to watch a horror movie a day. This month, I have decided to watch one that I haven’t seen yet. So far this month the list is as follows…
Oct. 1: Maggie
Oct. 2: The Purge: Anarchy
Oct. 3: Starry Eyes
Oct. 4: Insidious Chapter 2
And today, October 5th, I am watching Insidious Chapter 3.
I have to say that whenever one hears prequel, you kind of are on edge about a film. Then you find out that the man who directed the first two isn’t going to be at the helm for this one and you are even more on guard.
When it comes to Insidious Chapter 3, all of my fears are left at the way side. The story is fresh enough that you don’t have to watch a movie with little nods to the later time line every 5 minutes to make it work.
Im not going to give a long drawn out review of the film other than to say that I really enjoyed it quite a bit. I’m a big fan of these Insidious films and I hope to see more!
On a side note, how bad ass is Lin Shaye? She’s a god damn American Horror Treasure.
